Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365FO Software Developer

Infinite Solutions is looking for a Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365FO Software Developer, that will be responsible for the development, integration and data exchange with enterprise platforms and services for Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. Developers will also work as an integral part of the IT Consulting and Development team to produce the best possible solution to support the customer’s requirements.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements for customization and development.
• Design and architect technical solutions based on business requirements.
• Develop technical specifications and documentation for the proposed solutions.
• Write, test, and debug code using X++ programming language, which is specific to Dynamics AX/D365FO.
• Customize and extend standard Dynamics AX/D365FO features to meet business needs.
• Integrate Dynamics AX/D365FO with other systems and applications.
• Develop data interfaces and integrations to ensure seamless data flow across the organization.
• Plan and execute data migration strategies to transfer existing data into the new system.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity during the migration process.
• Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks within the Dynamics AX/D365FO environment.
• Implement improvements to enhance system responsiveness.
• Conduct unit testing and collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability and stability of customizations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, configuration details, and system architecture.
• Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and other developers to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team.
• Utilize version control systems to manage and track changes to the codebase.
• Collaborate with other developers effectively within a team environment.
• Ensure that customizations comply with security and compliance standards.
• Implement role-based security and access controls.
• Assist in system upgrades and apply patches or hotfixes as required.
• Provide ongoing support for deployed solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in Dynamics AX/D365FO and related technologies.
• Participate in training and certification programs to enhance skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Competency Requirements:

• College or University degree in Computer Science or 4+ years relevant Software Development experience
• Strong desire to improve Core Competency Requirements
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design new features.
• Ability to maintain code integrity and organization.
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming Models
• Experience using Agile and Waterfall Development methodologies
• Experience building custom applications, modifications, integrations, data conversion routines and custom reports
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to quality, self-motivation and a desire to succeed
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Strong Source Control Practices

Preferred Competency Requirements:

• Knowledge of supporting Microsoft Technologies including MS SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, MS SharePoint, MS Business Intelligence a plus
• Knowledge and experience of integrating data via web services a plus
• Knowledge and Development experience with ERP platforms including Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Dynamics AX
• Experience in Microsoft Power Platform
